چکیده
Microbial treatment of biodegradable wastes not only ensures neutralization harmful substances such as volatile organic compounds but also enables valorization and bio-circularity within the society. Single cell protein (SCP) is a value-added product that can be obtained from waste materials food via microbial fermentation. In this article, SCP derived potato starch was demonstrated viable alternative to existing plant/animal proteins used in production films, for example, packaging applications. Flexible glycerol-plasticized films were prepared through compression molding, tensile tests revealed strength stiffness similar other plasticized films. The oxygen barrier properties significantly better compared common polyethylene material, with highly polar materials, material must shielded moisture if in, packaging. biodegradation test degradation pattern observed household compostable bag. results showed SCP-based bioplastic considered potential certain synthetic polymers. An important advantage these they do cause problems microplastics.

A novel chimeric recombinant protein PDHB-P80 of Mycoplasma agalactiae as a potential diagnostic tool
The aim of this study was to construct, expression of a novel recombinant chimeric protein consisting of Pyruvate dehydrogenase beta subunit (PDHB) and high antigenic region of integral membrane lipoprotein P80 of Mycoplasma agalactiae as a potential diagnostic tool. The full-length sequence of pdhb and a portion of antigenic regions of P80 were selected and analyzed by CLC ma...

Packaging waste accounted for 78.81 million tons or 31.6% of the total municipal solid waste (MSW) in 2003 in the USA, 56.3 million tons or 25% of the MSW in 2005 in Europe, and 3.3 million tons or 10% of the MSW in 2004 in Australia. Currently, in the USA the dominant method of packaging waste disposal is landfill, followed by recycling, incineration, and composting. Since landfill occupies va...
متن کاملEvaluation of Single Cell Protein as a Non-Conventional Feedstuff in Broilers Feeding
Single cell protein (SCP) is the definition for dried cells originated from single-celled organisms intended to be used as a protein source in human foods or animal feeds. An experiment has been conducted to evaluate the various levels of single cell protein on fecal microflora and productive traits of broiler chickens. A total of 192 day-old Ross 308 male chicks were randomly divided into 4 tr...
متن کاملExpression of a New Recombinant Collagenase Protein of Lucilia Sericata in SF9 Insect Cell as a Potential for Wound Healing
Background: Today, the use of maggot therapy has become widespread due to the increase in chronic ulcers in the world. The recombinant production of secreted enzymes from these larvae is a novel non-invasive method for the treatment of chronic ulcers. Lucilia sericata (L. sericata) collagenase (MMP-1) has been expressed in insect cells. Collagenase is an enzyme that is widely used in clinical t...
متن کاملKlotho as a Novel Cardioprotective Protein in Aged Heart
In recent years, researchers have been looking for genes whose products can directly affect the aging process. Among these, the anti-aging protein klotho has attracted much attention. This single transmembrane protein is expressed in the renal tissues, parathyroid gland and choroid network of the brain and acts as a co-receptor for Fibroblast Growth Factor FGF. In this way, it contributes to c...
